This is a 5 Km race walk USATF Certified course on a back and forth 1K loop on American Way street adjacent to the Quality Inn.
All race walkers must abide by the rules that govern race walking.
Participants will be judged by National Certified Judges. This is a Sanctioned USA Track and Field Event. Everyone must have a USATF Membership number.
Entry fee $25.00. (The post-race lunch has been cancelled for this year.)
All entries must be post marked no later than September 22th.
Walk up registration October 3rd, 2 pm till 9 pm in Quality Inn Lobby
NO registration on race day!
Long sleeve T-shirts guaranteed to everyone pre-registered.
Refreshments provided after the race.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the "Friends In Need Health Center" of Kingsport.

Ceremony will begin at 10:45 am in the Quality Inn Ball Room
$100 prize money will be awarded to the TOP Open Male and Female finishers.
TOP 3 Masters Male and Female finishers will receive $50 each. If a Masters wins the Open they aren't eligible to receive the $50 Masters prize money.
TOP 6 Open Male and female finishers will receive National Championship Medals.
Masters age groups for Male and Females are: ( 30-34 35-39 40-44 45-49 50-54 55-59 60-64 65-69 70-74 75-79 80-84 85-89 ).
Each age group division will receive first, second, and third place medals.
The Overall Open Championship winners ( male and female ) could also receive an age group medal in the Masters Division.
Juniors Open ( male and female ) TOP 3 finishers will receive medals.

The TOP Open Male and Female Teams will receive a plaque and the TOP 3 finishers of each Team will receive a medal.
The Masters Age group TOP Teams Male and Female ( 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70-79 80-89 ) will receive medals for the TOP 3 members of that Team as they finish.
YOU MUST DESIGNATE IF YOU’RE COMPETING IN THE OPEN OR MASTERS. You cannot "DOUBLE DIP".
The Team must be registered under a USATF Club. If ages on the Team are mixed, it will invert to the YOUNGER AGE GROUP MEMBER. Example: One person in the 50-59 age group and two members in the 60-69 age group, the Team will be competing in the 50-59 age group.
The TOP Open Male and Female Junior Teams will receive medals three deep on each Team.
SIGN UP for Teams will be at the registration table in the Quality Inn on Oct 3rd from 2 pm till 9 pm.

Friday October 3rd- Packet pick up and registration from 2pm till 9 pm in Quality Inn Lobby. After 9 pm packet pick up at the front desk in the motel lobby.
Saturday, October 4th.
- Pre Race Activities at 7:45 AM
- Women's Race at 8 AM
- Men's Race at 9:15 AM
- Awards Ceremony 10:45 AM
- Carter's Fold- Everyone meet in the Quality Inn Lobby at 5:45 PM for Instructions and maps. We will carpool to Carter's Fold
Sunday Morning October 5th- Meet in the Quality Inn Lobby at 7 AM for a walk on the Greenbelt with the Race Director. Breakfast to follow in the Quality Inn.
(Note that the Race Walk Clinic, previously scheduled on Friday, 10/3, with Jim Carmines, has been cancelled.)
